In daily life, Thick sheet thermoforming Packaging is widely used in various daily necessities. In order to attract customers, businesses use various beautiful blister packaging for products. Blister packaging is made of several materials, including PS hard sheet, PVC sheet, PP sheet and PET hard sheet. What are the materials used in thick sheet thermoforming packaging? Let's take a look.
1. PS hard sheet: Low density, poor toughness, easy to burn, and produces harmful gases when burned. Therefore, many manufacturers only use this material to produce industrial thermoforming trays, mainly used in the pharmaceutical, food, toy, and electronics industries.
2. PVC sheet: High toughness, not easy to burn. Burning will produce certain toxic gases, polluting the atmospheric environment. It is easier to heat-seal thermoformed products using PVC materials, and the edges can be sealed with a special machine. Among many Thick sheet thermoforming materials, PVC sheets are widely used to produce transparent thermoformed products. In market applications, PVC sheets are also divided into environmentally friendly and non-environmentally friendly types, and can be widely used in the outer packaging of toys, food, electronic products, pharmaceuticals, electrical appliances, gifts, cosmetics, stationery, etc.
3. PP sheet: Using polypropylene resin as the main raw material, adding various process masterbatches, toughening agents, and brightening agents, it is made through mixing, plasticizing extrusion, three-roll calendering, cooling, stretching, and winding. PP sheets are non-toxic, odorless, hygienic, have high mechanical strength, good barrier properties, and can be used in packaging for the industrial, agricultural, and fruit industries. Trays made of PP anti-slip sheets have a smooth and beautiful surface and are deeply loved by users. PP sheets are also suitable for packaging cold-resistant frozen foods, such as ice cream boxes and dumpling boxes.
4. PET hard board: Good toughness, high strength, high transparency, and recyclable. It does not produce any harmful gases when burned. It is a new type of environmentally friendly material.
Now Thick sheet thermoforming the industry is gradually developing, and more and more partial products use thick sheet thermoforming products. For example, automotive interior and exterior trim parts, rear-projection TV back shells, lighting ceilings, various medical equipment shells, etc. These are all produced by thick sheet thermoforming machines.
Thick sheet thermoforming machines generally consist of a sheet positioning system, a thermoforming mold positioning system, a frame system, a heating system, a cooling system, and an electrical control system.
(1) The sheet positioning system generally consists of a T-shaped pressure frame, a power cylinder or hydraulic cylinder, and a balance synchronization mechanism. Its function is to tighten the positioning of the plastic sheet. The pressure frame of the walking heating method has an upper and lower structure and adds a lateral locking mechanism to ensure that the pressure frame can be tightly sealed with the pad. The frame can be manually and automatically adjusted according to the mold size;
(2) The plastic mold positioning system generally consists of upper and lower mold tables, upper and lower mold hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic cylinders, and a synchronization mechanism. Its function is to tighten the positioning of the thermoforming mold and connect the mold to the vacuum pipe. Positioning method: manual screw locking or pneumatic automatic locking. The synchronization mechanism can ensure the synchronous lifting and lowering of the upper and lower molds, ensuring the accuracy of thermoforming;
(3) The frame system generally consists of a profile frame, a sealing box, and a protective door. The protective door is divided into automatic and manual;
(4) The heating system generally consists of heating bricks or heating tubes, an oven rack, and a power cylinder or motor;
(5) The cooling system generally consists of gas and water pipes and nozzles;
(6) The electrical control system of the electrical system cooperates with the pneumatic or hydraulic system to achieve Thick sheet thermoforming the process requirements (temperature, speed, time) and various program actions of the machine. It is mainly composed of PLC, touch screen, contactor, electronic components, temperature control instruments, solenoid valves, sensors, etc. There are generally three control methods: manual, automatic, and adjustment.
