  Differences between blow molding, injection molding, and thermoforming:

  1. Different principles

  The main principle of thermoforming is to heat and soften a flat plastic sheet, then vacuum it onto the surface of a mold, and cool it to form the shape;

  The main principle of injection molding is to use an injection molding machine to produce various forms of plastic products from thermoplastic or thermosetting plastics;

  Thermoforming uses tubular plastics extruded or injection-molded from thermoplastic resins. When heated, it is placed in a mold. After closing the mold, compressed air is immediately introduced to inflate the mold, making it tightly adhere to the inner wall of the mold. After cooling and peeling, various hollow products can be obtained.

  Different classifications

  No plastic classification;

  Injection molding has three types: rubber injection molding, plastic injection molding, and molding injection molding.

  Thermoforming can be divided into extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding. According to the manufacturing method of the blanks, multilayer blow molding and stretch blow molding have been newly developed.

  Thermoforming process:

  1. Plastic material composition

  The raw materials used in thermoforming, plus polymers and various plastic additives, improve the molding process and product performance, or reduce product costs. Additives and polymers are mixed into a uniformly distributed powder. Sometimes the powder also needs to be refined with aggregates.

  2. Plastic molding

  The core link of thermoforming. It makes various forms of plastics into the required forms of products or inventory. Common methods for processing thermoplastics include extrusion, injection molding, rolling, blow molding, and thermoforming, while common methods for processing thermosetting plastics include molding, transfer molding, or injection molding.

  Lamination, molding, and thermoforming are used to mold plastics on a plane. These methods are often used for extrusion and injection molding and are also pre-set molding methods.

  3. Plastic part joints

  Joining plastics. Welding methods include hot air welding using welding rods, hot melt welding using hot electrodes, high-frequency welding, friction welding, Liu Tao welding, ultrasonic welding, etc. Bonding methods can be divided into flux, Pei Xiuzhi solution, and hot melt adhesive bonding according to the adhesive used.

  4. Assembling plastic parts

  The operation of assembling plastic parts manufactured using bonding, welding, mechanical connection, etc., into a complete product.

  5. Machining

  Using metal, wood, etc., machining methods, manufacturing plastic products with very accurate size or small Yang Yi can also be used as auxiliary processes for molding. Plastics must be adjusted according to plastic properties, including the tools used during processing and the corresponding cutting speed. Common processing methods include sawing, shearing, punching, car, plane, drilling, grinding, polishing, screw processing, etc.

  6. Surface polishing

  The purpose is to beautify the surface of plastic products, generally including machine modification, part burr, deburring, size modification, etc. Finishing; finishing. Applying colors, including painting, printing, and hot stamping; plating metal.

  Here, hot stamping is to heat the colored aluminum foil layer of the hot stamping film and transfer it to the manufactured product under pressure. Many home appliances, building products, daily necessities, etc., are used to obtain metallic luster or wood grain patterns.
